What will I learn to do?
Explore Dance and Drama through a range of units:
Performing Arts Production Process – Plan, produce and evaluate a concert or show.

  • Performing Arts Business – Budget for and publicize a concert or show
  • Performing Dance – perform and evaluate a dance performance
  • Acting – perform and evaluate a drama performance
  • Musical Theatre – combine acting, dance and musical skills to produce a performance
  • Mask Making – Explore the use of masks in Dance and Drama, and be able to make a mask for performance.
  • Lighting Operations – Understand how different lighting equipment works and be able to operate equipment during rehearsal and performance.
  • Sound Operations - Understand how different sound equipment works and is connected.  Be able to operate equipment during rehearsal and performance.

What skills do I need?
Performing Arts will be of interest to students who:

  • Wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of Dance and Drama
