The Diploma courses are new qualifications. There 3 levels of study and Balby Carr are offering Diploma courses in 2 subjects: Construction and the Built Environment and Information Technology. If you chose a Diploma it would take up 2 days a week from your timetable and replaces all other options. A higher Diploma grade A* - C is the equivalent of 7 GCSEs. The Diploma will be tought alongside the core subjects at GCSE: English, Maths, Science, PSHE, Religious Studies and Physical Education.
